General question, and I suspect the answer is no. Are there any employment or exec comp-related jobs in the entertainment industry? Or, are there any law firms purely focused on entertainment that have a comp/employment/benefits group? I’m at a large firm with a lot of high profile artists, but I’d like to narrow my practice down to entertainment.

I am a mid level litigation associate at a midsized firm in NYC, which means working big law hrs, without big law pay. My hesitation going to big law is getting substantially less control/responsibility over cases I handle and the fact that most mid levels I know are running from big law rather than towards it. I am getting 45k monthly and 10% tds is being deducted at source so after tds I would get 40,500 Rs. However, I am making my work done from someone else and paying him 30k. I am left with 15k each month. What should I do to save this unnecessary tax I paid? Please help.

So, I've tried a few different positions and still hate practicing law BUT I was approached about a contract role that won't have billable hour requirements and I won't be steeped (I think) into the law firm's toxicity, so I'm wondering if it could be the closest thing to a 9 to 5 for law. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.
