I have recently attended an interview for QA automation in TCS. I have been asked to upload the documents for verification and would be proceeded to HR discussion round. Could anyone please help what should be the expected CTC.

At lower levels they’re comparable or slightly better. Once you hit around ACD level though it seems like consumer pays better, and at the very highest levels consumer is way, way better.
The advantage in pharma is stability. Multi-year AOR client relationships are still pretty much the norm. There’s also a much power premium on youth and having your finger on the pulse of the culture, since your audience is almost always older. However, opportunities for truly cool, breakthrough work are much rarer, and regulatory oversight kills a lot of great ideas before they ever see the light of day.
That's highly debatable based on individual situations but overall there is a trend for about 10-15% higher than average. Do NOT ever think it's a better work/life balance or hours. People from consumer shops who repeat this nonsense drive me crazy. It's just like any other ad agency except for the subject matter of the accounts
OP, I'd pull up salaries online for several pharma shops and see if you can establish a trend versus yours. But know at your level it's a little late to break into the scene as it's unique and you're too senior to get in with no experience. You wouldn't be able to hold a client level convo without knowing the client industry, regulations, and many unique terms

It depends on what level you start. There was a similar thread last week. CW thought it paid well because it he or she'd been offered more than currently making. Me, I think it pays worse. Way worse.
@AD1 do you really think it's that hard to learn? Creatives are thrown on many different types of biz--that's our job, to research, learn, get up to speed, create. There's a first time for every category. Pharma's not that hard.
^ By all means, if you're interested please apply and if you get hired, congrats! Just be prepared it's not going to be easy to get called in for an interview for a pharma CD level with no experience.
And btw of course you can learn anything with time and effort but it's not so trivial as you describe. Not at a management level where you act as a client consultant who should know pharma business and companies structure and selling methodologies, R&D product pipeline, contracting with hospitals and pharmacies, pricing models and product tiers, insurance coverage strategies. I'm not referring to fda regulations for including the ISI at the bottom of the page here.
I made more as a CD in general advertising than I do in pharma. But that was before the last recession, when agencies realized they could pay people less and still get good people
I disagree with account director 1. I got a CD pharma job with no pharma experience. It was all about good ideas, not about knowing where the fair balance goes.
