It's hard and effectively impossible. Because L1 has a hard 6 year limit on the visa and unless you can eventually qualify for EB1 path, it is very restrictive (you can't change jobs on it, and your job at the company can't materially change and the visa itself is much more scrutinized than H1).
H1B is dual intent and much better visa but is lottery based because there are way too many applications for just 65+20k applications.
The easiest path is through an education program (bachelor's or master's) in the US. F1 education visa can give you up to 2.5 years of work authorization and an eventual pathway to H1B.
And alternate pathway is the EB5 green card path, if you are willing to invest $900k in the US.
@Deloitte, can we apply for US remote jobs without having any work permit or visa. I have seen fully remote jobs which says no visa is required on we work remotely sites. Is it true?
In my opinion, we can work on US jobs without visa
Tldr: almost impossible to find a job in the US from India unless you already have a work visa or transferring internally
So the tough part for you would be getting a work visa in the states
Most of the long term immigrants have either L1 or H1 work visa
L1 would require an intra-firm transfer, which means your current firm needs to move you to the US entity of the same firm
H1 is lottery based and no firm would gamble on a potential candidate (at the moment some companies are not even accepting application of the candidates who would require H1 transfer).
Thank you for the information
