So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

I resigned last month and my manager said he is trying to retain me. I had a call with HR and I explained my expectation. Now, I am getting profiles daily to evaluate. Candidate has similar experience and working on the same technology stack.
I knew that my manager is looking for my replacement but he is still pretending that he will retain me. I don't understand why he is doing like that.

What's the dropout/rejection rate after this grand storytelling saga?

Also, does a bar raiser happen to everybody? Or to just the ones who pass the loop?
