Hi Amazonians,
I am looking for guidance.
I am going to start interview process with Amazon next week. Probably all rounds will be done in 1-2 day time frame.
How/what should I prepare for interview?
Am clueless on what kind of ds & algo questions, system design questions are asked in Amazon interviews.
My techstack: javascript developer- react+Angular.
1. Pls guide me on what/how to prepare?
2. Also, will the interview be solely on da & algo and javascript; or on Js frameworks?

Hi Amazon 1, thanks for the answer I have got the congratulations mail from Amazon about a successful interview and asked for details like current CTC, Expected CTC, refrence e.t.c .
when can I expect my final offer letter (with original CTC 6-8 pages letters)? After this congratulations mail
Congratulations buddy!
Once you send out the details, you should hear from your recruiter within a weeks time.
So let me take a stab at it:
#2 - QAE Salary Range is around ~10.5L - ~18L + RSUs + Joining bonus (depends if they offer you). I am guessing you will be interviewing for a L4 QAE -1 role, and most of the salaries are fixed for each role, they will try to place you at the best figure. If not, there will be some room for negotiation. It also depends how well you have performed in your interviews as well.
#3 - This is not entirely true. Yes, work at Amazon is a lot at times and folks be busy with their own deliverables. I have always found my peers/colleagues helpful with anything I was stuck with. While you get on-boarded, you will be assigned with an onboarding buddy, who shall help you with anything to get you started. Also, IMO it also depends on how good you built the rapport with your colleagues. And yeah, always have a mentor to guide you/coach you with anything.
#1 - In Amazon if you’re hired as QAE, you will be expected to be good in problem solving. And yes, some % of manual testing will always be there. But again, it depends on the team you work for and what product they own. Also, if you don’t like the work you can always move different teams. No one will stop you.
In my experience, I got the right platform with Amazon, you shall get the right exposure and guidance and good opportunities for you to grow. And, if you have an attitude of ownership and going above and beyond (basically you like what you do and if you are passionate) Amazon is the right place. (IMO)
PS - Are you interviewing for QAE?
Here my onboarding buddy don't help me with anything. He doesn't even reply to my ping on chime.
Rest os good.
