I'm not sure if it's a good idea to crack down on people's posts because isn't that basically censoring what conversations you allow to take place?

If we don't play a role in shaping the community, we're at risk of the community becoming something that no longer serves the business or audience.

I try not to think of it as censoring. I think it's more about fostering and cultivating an environment that is beneficial for your audience.

Some comments can cause harm. So it'd depend on the company's values and mission. If the post is sexist, racist, homophobic or so, I'd agree to censore it.

Hi all! I work at a nonprofit and am looking to leave the organization. As I browse available positions in my area, I’m realizing there is a LOT of crossover between my current org and others, for example shared board members, folks who are on our board and employed at one of the institutions I’m interested in, etc.. Is there a way to say “my current org doesn’t know I’m looking, so please treat my interest with discretion” that doesn’t raise red flags? Thanks!

After 6 years as a community manager I feel exhausted. I've noticed my ideas are not innovative anymore. I'm tired of replying to the same inquiries over and over again. I even stopped using social media during my spare time because I can't handle it anymore.
I know burnout is a common thing and you'll tell me to stay away from social media for 5 days or something. But is this a feeling that will one day go away or is this just the end of my career as I know it?
