Got an offer from HCL Technologies for E4.1 band. But skeptical to join after reading posts about them firing once project gets over or sometimes w/o any valid reason. I've 10 YoE(InfoSec), don't want to put my career at risk.

Pointers: been in the process for couple of months on & off, ghosted by hr's etc

A friend of mine works with TCS as an Analyst, his base location is Bengaluru but he is been working from his hometown in Lucknow since the first COVID lockdown. Now he is being asked by his team to work from Ahmedabad, where his direct supervisor (manager) is working from. In this case, according to TCS talent policies, what is the procedure and the benefits that he can avail, as part of project initiated relocation? Also, how long it takes to get base location changed through HR in TCS?

I m into QA as functional test planner for more than two years and now i m mood to change my role to automation, but after certification in selenium and Tosca my lead was not able to provide me the project based on automation so they are rolling me off from the project. Telling u will get automation project on bench.
Now i m confused what had happened and what to do on bench.

Started in consulting during the pandemic (first job out of school). I always assumed I wouldn’t be able to have a dog bc of the travel schedule but with WFH I’m reconsidering. Would you expect the industry to go back to traveling the way it did before?

At what point do you draw the line on WLB? Working insane hours on a long/term project with what feels like no end in sight. It’s not sustainable but clearly expected. Could you get fired for drawing lines in the sand and saying (example) “come 8:30 every night I’m logging off”. That’s a 65 hour work week as-is but I currently am up until midnight working consistently. For context I’ve been rated as a strong performer consistently and am not new to the job so it’s not a lack of understanding.

Worked there for 20 days only last yr and 1year later i got my relieving letter after multiple tortures of legal notices for not serving notice period even though when they themselves released me.. from 160k to 0 that i paid them. I could easily sue them for harrasment but i didn't wanted to get involved in useless sh** and waste my time and energy .. BEWARE OF HCL
