I joined EY GDS couple of weeks back as senior consultant under tech consulting domain. I got my laptop last week. Still I am not alloted to any project. The manager who spoke to me about an oppurtunity was on vacation. Is there any specific bench period in EY? How long a person can be in a bench? Please help

I have an offer with a company and joining is 27th of Jun. I got offer from JP Morgan on 20th and they have given joining 4th of July. I am planning to join in JP Morgan. Is it normal for senior managers to ask you to cancel leaves or to nit apply leaves in EY GDS? My manager told in all hands meeting yesterday to not apply leaves during tear end. Won’t this become a hr issue?

Its weird that EY is calling themselves providing exceptional experiences, but keep sending Return to Office email on Friday and ruin our mood. What leadership is gonna achieve by sacrificing employee flexibilities and spoiling their happiness, it can ultimately lead to resignation and loss of great talents.
