I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. What is middle/back office at a hedge fund like? Specifically roles that are supporting portfolio managers? I’ve been trying to move to PE Ops and came across a promising HF opportunity, so I’m looking for more insights into those projects and type of work.

Currently SM at Bain (4 years post MBA) and was approached for a senior associate role in portfolio ops at a large PE fund. Been told 2.5 years to VP and another 2.5 years to director. Feels like the role is a bit junior but offers a 50% pay jump.

Thoughts on seniority? Also, any interview resources for PE portfolio roles?

I have joined a company on 4th Feb, through consultancy on contract to hire basis.
I only received the job offer letter from the consultancy, but no Appointment Letter is given yet.
So since it's 10-15 day, since I joined. Can I leave this company, since I've got a better offer, with my suitable location.
PS: I have also received the laptop, but didn't login or do anything yet.
Please help me, can I still leave the company? And return the laptop to them. Or I have to continue here itself?
