Who worked on the ESPN layoffs? Crazy to see so many of the on-air talent gone that I had watched for the past 10 years or so. Guess they couldn’t keep up with all the payroll?

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question:
1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?
How do start a new career at 50?
Looking for pointers to crack the AWS SAA certification. Currently doing mock exams from Tutorialsdojo and in the 78-80% range. Is this a good estimation of preparedness for the exam?
I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO.

I want to get my parents to watch euphoria so they can finally realize that they finding a joint on my stuff when I was 17 didn’t mean I was a drug addict. And they actually had a very good, low drama kid.
They still think that is a relief that I turned out alright.

Recently found out that other people at my company (same level as me) makes more than me. Brought it up to my manager who denied it, said I am making as much as the rest of them. I don't know how to bring up the fact that I am aware others make more without naming anyone else.
I'm a budding UX Designer with no exp in the field besides one client project and some school ones. However, for 5+ years I've been a part of User Testing groups and have participated in user research interviews for different companies like Lions Gate, the Canadian Government, Pinterest, etc. I did it to make a little bit of pocket change, but it ended up teaching me about how user researchers collect data and what types of questions they ask.
Would it be valuable experience to put on my resume?

ME 🐠: serious question after having gone through multiple threads on this forum and elsewhere. Can someone working in the region (ideally mid level - EM / SM / Principal) really debunk or validate the “WLB is non existent in ME” notion, particularly T1/2 Strat firms. How bad is it really? Peaks are extreme everywhere regardless of geography. However, what does an avg work week feel like? Grateful if the response is as specific and personal/ accurate as possible please. TIA 🙏🙏🙏
