Hello. I took a job as a senior with a CPA firm. I don’t know how to do anything. I delegate all my work to a staff that knows what’s she’s doing. Problem is she’s about to promote and I will have a new staff out of college. I don’t know what I’m doing nor will the new staff. Help

If this is true, your company deserves to find this out. I hope this isn't a real post.

Nice bait

Use accounting resources that firm provides and chatgpt to do some research. Then ask your manager some questions. They can't help you if you don't put in effort first.

Are you for real?

I would have to ask you the same thing. Postings here strain credulity regularly. It’s become a joke forum.

Hello

This is a reality in my offices. I left a company where they hired someone without a degree in accounting. The expectation the staff to supervise two accountants. I spoke against it no one listen, a month after the employee resigne. The Finance team leader played that delegation card all the time because they didn’t know how to deal with the system. I guess they thought the new staff member woulld Emulate their work ethics.

How did you get a job at a CPA firm, without nothing anything? How did you pass the interview?
