My career path is similar. But I started as art director then designer then UX designer and now experience design director.
What have you done when you were a designer? Do you have any web, app, or any UX/UI works?
If you have been a designer for 10+ years and have digital experience, then you don’t really need training or certificate. You may need to learn/self thought more on use interview and project discovery.
I didn’t have any UX specific training and I was doing fine. In our field, experience is always more important than paper (certificate).
