That happened to my coworker while she was still
Working for the company. We found out about it 4 months later when she needed to update her CAC. She didn’t do anything wrong. I believe the FSO failed to update her profile in DISS. She only had a Tier 1. We had her redo the eApp & OF306 Form. The Gov’t reinitiated her SF85 for a Tier 1 and she was good to go after that.
Apply with V2X, VERSAR, or ACUITY International. They are hiring and will pay for your security clearance.
Thank you very much for your response and for sharing. I will certainly look at the companies you mentioned to see if there are any opportunities there for employment. Thanks again 🙏🏾
So I am a security specialist and handle many clearances. We see this happen from time to time. This happens the most if your clearance is no longer being owned and your investigation or an investigation was not finished before being disowned. Essentially an LOJ just means they stopped the process. If you are regained by another company or contract they can we start or ask for a continuation of the investigation. Thankfully with the new system e erything you inputed before should have been saved.
I forgot to write in my previous post, if there is anything you can suggest or recommend I can do myself personally to get my investigation restarted and completed, so my clearance can go back into an Active status, I would soooo very much appreciate it! Honestly, anything you can suggest or recommend at this point that will help my clearance situation, would be sooo awesome, helpful & very much appreciated. Thank you again Personnel Security Specialist 1 for your feedback!!
Do you still work at your sponsoring org? If nothing has happened… You likely just need your FSO to request adjudication.
Unfortunately, no. That's actually when it started. Govt funding was cut for the program I supported and I lost my job. I've been out of work since July. A week after I lost my job, is when the status changed to LoJ. I called DCSA and that's all they could explain to me. I'm trying to understand why/what happened, but no one can really explain to me at this point. It's never happened to me before. I even worked for a commercial company in-between cleared jobs for a short period while having my clearance and never had this issue. I've read and heard that getting another sponsorship is really the only way out of this LoJ funk, but that's difficult since most employers hiring require or prefer folks with clearances with Active status. I wanted to ask here and see if anyone else has run into this issue and what their experience was with it and perhaps if there are any other possible paths I could perhaps try to get my clearance back in Active status. Appreciate your response and feedback sir.
Did you have an interim or a fully granted clearance? Did you have any changes with your circumstances - such as outstanding financial obligations? Involved in any criminal or civil litigation? If any of these, came up while not being sponsored, you would drop out of continuous evaluation and not being sponsored, there would no one send a VROC message to. If no response, one of the actions would be LoJ. Unfortunately, the only way to have this to be corrected is to have a new employer initiate a new investigation. There is no way you could do this on your own, because you don't have a need to know, because you are not under anyone's cage code.
Hello, good morning 🙂
I had a full TS clearance. No changes at the time I lost my sponsorship. The VROC messages, I imagine that dialogue is only between the govt and the FSO of the company? The FSO from the company that released me and my sponsorship, their last day was a day before mine. They no longer work for the company. I even asked them prior to them leaving the company, if my clearance would remain in Active status, with no complications and they confirmed that. I knew I was going to be applying heavily and needed to make sure my clearance was solid, considering this was the 1st time I was being released and losing my sponsorship from a company. Bummer I can't personally do anything to help my situation. 😕
This has been very helpful, I thank you very much for your feedback and for sharing your experience with this. I sincerely appreciate it! 🙏🏾
