I was selected for a l3 role via IJP in the 1st week of may and the hiring manager informed me via email that i had been selected for the role and requested confirmation to proceed with offer letter generation. I didn't hear anything from HM after that. When can I expect to receive an internal offer letter? Should I contact HM to know about the status ? Please provide some insights. TIA :)

I got a referral from an EM over a month ago. He says my candidate status showed "turned down" immediately following the submission. He suspects it was because the status from my previous application to McKinsey over 2 years ago got pulled into the system automatically. I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $400k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!

Im strongly considering an MBA. Only thing that deters me is cost. I’ve heard of some tier 1 firms that will offer tuition reimbursement for returning interns post-MBA, how common is that? Also considering pivoting to a firm that offers scholarships. Any tips/insight on this? Thank you!

My fiancé will NOT stop talking about her ex. After I found out they were texting arguing she justified it by saying it was about the dogs and not them. Even though Her social media is full of his pics. She still sends him $50 a month for dog food, still goes to work right by his place and suspiciously needs keys. The current department I’m in, I do not fit the culture as it is a very archaic way of “managing” people. I have about a decade of a variety of work experience, majority in customer service/coordination/administration.

I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
