Hey all, I’m a new grad with a degree in ME and concentration mechanical design, along with 1 year of co-op experience at a consumer product company working in NPD and prototyping. After being on the job hunt for a while, a company is offering me 85k as a Product Development Engineer. I’m based out the Greater Boston area. Is this a base salary I should expect for this type of role with my qualifications?

Any significant differences in comp between the Big 4 FDD groups (specifically at senior level)? I’m hearing PWC pays the highest bonuses but not sure if there is any truth to that.

Up for promotion this year to manager, it seems that EY and Deloitte already announced no bonus? Guess promotion freeze will be next?

what's the average compensation package for L4 MLE in Kitchener Waterloo?

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)
