Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!
Raise your hand if you just cannot do it today.

Deloitte has not said that yet - don’t believe everything you read on here folks
Did Deloitte actually confirm no bonuses this year? I have yet to hear anything
Agree with the above, have not heard that
Why would there be no promotions? Unless your office is hemorrhaging work/clients all levels of employees are still needed. Turnover might be down a bit which might push borderline candidates to one more year but those that are ready should still be promoted.
Agree. Have to keep the pipeline going. Rather lay off underperformers than deny a promotion to top performers. Experienced hires are a gamble (more expensive and often times low performers at their previous workplace)
They said promotion bonuses will still be honored
Has KPMG said anything?
