How long has it been? We’re kind of notorious for long interview processes. And this is the busiest time of year for HR/partners
Yeah, not planning on it - probably am better off if this is how they treat people.
Yeah I wouldn’t count on hearing back at this point
IDK pwc federal practice took almost a year to give me an official order and EY close to 3 months. Not sure why the hiring process can take so long but there are several factors - partner making the decision might be on sabbatical, for instance. don’t give up hope and keep following up with the recruiter!
Dont blame the people that you'll actually work with. I find that the recruiters here are woeful
It happens. Best case: the head honcho has an email requesting to approve your offer sitting in his inbox and he just hasn’t got to it yet (not super uncommon). They also may have another candidate scheduled and want to interview them before extending you an offer.
Of course it could also mean that you are not getting an offer. In my experience offers do go out very quickly after final rounds and rejections take a little while
Nearing the two month mark since the last communication. Obviously followed up with emails and one call but honestly not gonna go to the mattresses if they can’t be bothered.
If it’s worth anything a couple years back a PWC recruiter contacted me to schedule an initial screening interview, and I replied back with some avail times. The recruiter never got back to me, something that never happened to me before
Deloitte took forever too but not after the final interview. As they say it’s easier to find a job when you have a job so I literally just messaged the lead recruiter I originally spoke with and said hey this is taking entirely too long - are they still interested or should I move on? If I had to guess she had money on the line and lit a fire somewhere... profess was super fast from then on. I love being here - if you’re from consulting you know it’s not a reflection of how they treat people it’s just the incompetency of hr/recruiting etc
OP - I’m having a similar experience with a Recruiter at PwC Advisory. It’s so frustrating dealing with her - not even funny. I can’t even imagine how they are so ok with treating people the way they do. But the only reason I’m following up is because I know PwC is an amazing firm to work for and the people (actual practitioners) are great. I have personally realized that she is not going to change her speed of doing things so I’m not expecting anything. So I just keep sending follow up emails and have started looking for other opportunities with other firms.
