Hey firm people, what would you do if your project manager is not as good as you are, just in general not being able to get things done. Would you make suggestions or just follow the lead?

Best to just follow the lead, show respect, and try to eventually move into more of a managerial role yourself. Not a good look to try and out-perform your manager, from what I've seen

I think the attitude should be that you guys are on the same team working toward a common goal. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with showing some initiative, but not to the point of undercutting your PM. That can definitely be a fine line, but I’d make the suggestions - there’s just a bit of an art to framing them.

Hi all, need some advice here, like a lot of others here, Google is definitely a dream company for me to work at. I come from a non-technical background, currently working as a project manager + associate product manager (20% project situation) at a SaaS company. I would really appreciate the input on my chances for a Program manager/ associate product manager role. Also, what are some of the key skills that are utilized extensively in these roles, which google considers a great asset?

Planning a one-week summer vacation to Yellowstone Park area. Family unit of 6, so need to rent a single, large SUV. Just looked at prices and the cheapest car available for 6 people with unlimited mileage is $3,500+. Makes the vacation almost not worth it. Anyone have any recommendations on how to get a better deal? Any discount codes? Thank you in advance!!

Hello anyone reading this! I wanted to ask for any realistic, recommended job positions from someone with more knowledge and experience. I am graduating this December with my BBA and am ready to leave the job I’m in now. I’ve been applying for a range of positions I qualify for and nothing so far, which I expected. I have 3 years of experience in management operations but also have 6 years of experience with child care, is that why I may be getting rejected? Maybe I’m overthinking my resume? 😅

What does a person do who doesn’t find any industry accounting jobs interesting? I’ve been trying to leave for 3-4 years and the only thing that interests me is people focused roles such as sales. I considered recruiting but I’m jaded based on my interactions with most. Public accounting is a decent spot for me but I’m wanting a more consistent schedule of 40-50 and the self centered/dog eat dog culture of my firm continues to crush my soul more and more the longer I stay.
