Hi Google - I am requesting guidance!
I am prepping for my interview specifically GCA and open ended questions. I struggle to tell if the outcome should be talking through your process/steps (maybe for a question like - how would you go about determining program complexity) vs a specific solution such as create x new product, for x market by x date based on my assumptions. Is the desired outcome something I can clarify with the interviewer?
I have 1.5yrs of exp in Angular. If I attend an interview, can I solve the DS/Logic problems in other language like python. Because for problem solving while comparing to Js I'm good with python. Will that be accepted? Amazon Tata Consultancy Freshworks Inc Zoho Intuit Microsoft Paytm Presidio Inc. Thoughtworks Accenture
I applied to Pinterest and Amazon. I have interviews at both and it's looking positive. I'm a little worried I set the bar too low with my initial response for salary range expectations when I applied. Anyone ever told the recruiter afterwards a higher range and been successful? What might you say to adjust the range? Thoughts?

you're gonna need a referral or senior pull - dig far and wide in both your search for firms and contacts who can help you out
You can do it - I interned at a big 4 audit & then did 40+ consulting full time interviews my senior year & landed 6 offers - it’s possible, have a killer resume, go to networking events, practice your interview stories & apply everywhere
i’m interning at KPMG, so there’s a possibility i switch to advisory for FT, but my school is a target for the Minneapolis offices so I’m not too worried. But thanks for the advice!
What school? If it’s not top 15 it will be near impossible to get an interview with your GPA without a senior referral. You should be setting up calls consistently with people at the firms you want to work at
Attend any network events that are offered in the summer / early fall
Did very similar path to EYP this summer. Use the summer to network in and outside your firm and practice casing.
You got a hard road ahead of you
The industry itself was more desperate for people last year…not so much this time around
big 4 is great but don't be afraid to start somewhere else and then be an experienced hire to a big4. When I was in school all I could think about was big4 until I went elsewhere, I think I'm way happier here vs if I was at the big4.
I was undergrad 3.7 at UMN at West Monroe now. We are your best bet out of UMN. Reach out on linkedin talk to like 5 people show how much you are interested in a specific position/practice then pray to god for an interview. If you are a senior it will probably be easier to spend 1-2 years somewhere else then try to come in. If you are a junior then start making relationships now and cultivate them throughout the next year I.e meet with people 2-3 times before next fall. Then you will 100% get a referral if you are a fit. At that point it’s an interview and you take it from there
