Hey folks, I’ve career switched from data science to strategy coming in at post-MBA role at a strong T2. Now I realised many moons ago I am absolutely awful at PPT, barely had to use it before. Are there any resources, paid and unpaid you’d recommend that can get my slide deck creation game from 0 to hero FAST?
I am not asking for magic, but I don’t want to embarrass myself in front of business analysts on my first project in a week or so…

There’s two channels on YouTube that are pretty solid that won’t bore you to death. Analyst academy and firm learning, this will give you the basics

Thanks mate

Create decks and load into ChatGPT ask it to score your deck for each consulting firm and the most impactful thing to fix. Tell it to act as a cranky engagement manager at that firm who fired the last three analysts due to poor slide decks. Only fix one thing per round.

It’s a game… May the odds be forever in your favor.

Tell me you are getting hosed at LEK without telling me you are getting hosed at LEK. Check out Management Consulted’s PPT training.

funny

It's not LEK. We don't have analysts, only associates

Run all decks through ChatGPT.

This was my struggle. I started adding light gray background on some sections, and they looked prettier lol. I tried the vantage lessons but I am not very creative so I just added background color abd add some images before the boarder.

Don’t stress about slide crafting so much. It’ll come organically. Just focus on doing good work and you’ll get there.

Are .pptx valuable? I understand that ‘telling a story’ is better.

Max you would spend on a condo/apartment with about $1.5M NW and 500-750K income? No kids so no fixed costs currently for childcare and school though could see those emerging in the next five years. Otherwise pretty low key lifestyle with maybe a few meals out a week. Interested in hearing both from a purchase price and rent perspective. Thanks!
