Not sure where that was implied in my post?
Not that we don’t care about work life, but frankly your attitude seems to imply you won’t care when work needs to be done if it’s your quitting time. The answer is, don’t apply
I was firmly instructed not to work past 2 am last night (despite needing to) so that I could get rest before my 8:30 am meeting this morning. Does that count as work life balance? 😂
What bcg1 is saying is that you need to have the mentality of doing what it takes to drive value for the client. While the firm cares about WLB as a whole, you do not join BCG if you are optimizing for WLB
As a consultant? No work life balance.
Internal roles do exist, but they don't offer the same salary (though $/hour might work out to be more).

This post is why I hate staffing/hiring/campus recruiting for BAs.
What sort of internal roles or groups are there at BCG, M1?
MBB and work life balance... lol
Perfect answer BCG3
I'm not sure why questioning what WLB is like is such a weird thing to ask honestly. Appreciate the responses but clearly if you all are on your toes and this hype about a question like this yall could def use a vacation. I don't not care about the quality of my work, i def go above and beyond what's needed, but id like to deliver great quality without being overworked. Don't think that's a crazy thing to ask about. But happy friday to you all.
@OP - I manage to work hard and still take 4-6 weeks of PTO. Everyone’s problem with your statement is you focused on w/l balance at a brand you view as prestigious rather than the value of the work you do or value you bring.
So if you’re the hiring manager and have two equal candidates - one focused on balance and “reasonable hours” and another focused on the work they do, continuing to bring prestige to the brand, etc, who do you make the offer to?
