I've started getting really intentional about my spending. I no longer shop for fun, I only buy what I need and nothing else. It's been hard recovering from a pretty heavy shopping addiction, but my bank account is much happier.

I am desperate to make my bank account happy again! Thanks 🙏

Not a hack, exactly. It's more common sense than anything. I reduced my cost of living as much as possible so that I can put more money into savings every month. I sold my car, cut my spending significantly, and am currently searching for a cheaper apartment. I want to know that if I end up laid off, that my monthly expenses will be as low as possible so my savings can cover it for as long as needed.

Good advice ! I have done the same I thought it would be stressful but in have more peace maintaining a pot for my future

I don't have a hack I'm definitely caught in the spiral of why even try... Working on getting out of it. But it's a struggle

Hi! I had an interview for a job with the DOL that I applied for on usajobs. The interview was exactly 3 weeks ago today and they have called my references. I haven’t heard any updates and I know it can be a very slow process but do you think I should reach out to the interviewer via email to follow up or no? Thanks!

I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I love the private world but am really ready to move up. I don’t know what I should do. Any suggestions?

My first time applying and getting an offer for a job posting without a salary on it, aka non-government job. $21k below what I currently make and $3k below the minimum I told them- I went for a job with a bigger title and more responsibility. Other companies need to learn from government jobs. Today I’m loving that my current government job appreciates my worth.
