I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

What?! This is weird. It’s literally a whole different job!

Some agencies use “producer” and “project manager” interchangeably. (They shouldn’t.)
This distinction is more common at big holding companies! If you’re doing either role well, you’re doing both. (Personally I wouldn’t hire a project manager who hasn’t produced, nor a producer without project management skills.) Maybe this segues to another thread altogether. I’d just say, there’s nothing wrong with expecting a producer to resource their jobs.
i’ve done estimates for creative hours on each phase of the project. it was mostly getting their estimated hours into scopes for a certain project/sow. said account is not under retainer so we/i had to track their hours. every project is considered out of scope. i manage the project schedule, creatives manage their day to day. the full team has visibility on the schedule.
that said, i did not have to do the creative resourcing part where I had to look for creatives. the creatives are already tied to the account
*How* agencies do their resourcing, has become one of my interview questions, because I found it can impact your role so greatly as a producer or pm.
Is this at one of those "digital first" places
No - full-service. We are kind of small though.
Every agency does resourcing a little differently.
Never heard of that
Hope you’re getting paid more for added responsibilities!
Yes, I’ve done this at a few shops now, including the one I’m at now. Small, medium, and large shops. At a medium/large one now, and while we have a resourcing team to formally manage the allocations, we (producers) still of course estimate their time and request them (typically with input from heads of departments around suitability/fit per brand/project.) There are upsides and downsides but to me it’s part of the job.
