As a 602 with 12.6 YOE
Got 10 % mid year hike on a fine day unexpectedly which pushed my cctc to 29.2
We have 60k ceo bonus and 18% variable pay I am getting since last 4 years.
After checking lot of posts here it seems I am on low ctc here.
How much should I target next and which companies ?

Don’t forget it’s almost time to start quarters.

Happy Sunday. For some reason, it’s 4:20 somewhere.

AlixPartners I am expecting an offer for VP in financial crime/compliance and risk. I need to give them my compensation expectation. Currently working in Bank with 7+ YOE including 6 yrs in Big4 non-MBA (Masters in Finance). What is the total comp (base+bonus) that I can ask for? What is the general sign on bonus? Thanks in advance

Get a job and negotiate or switch your way up
Easier with your foot in the door
I think you should stick to your salary figure if all things considered you are not in immediate need for a job. Yes, you may be a fresh grad, but you are getting paid for your skills. The recruiter’s role is to peg you down to a rate that best suits them and not you.
Additionally, while there’s logic in getting in at a lower rate, all that means is you are more than likely to see smaller raises and increases unless you are aggressively switching every couple of years or so. Speaking from experience. I didn’t see significant increases till I actually started switching jobs more aggressively.
