I interviewed at company A and B. Company A sent me an offer, however I really want to work at company B, and they said they would get back to me last week and still have not even after following up. Is it pushy or frowned upon to tell company B that I got an offer from company A so can they hurry the hell up and tell me if I’m getting an offer from them. Company B also said there is still a round of reference checks left and the holidays are coming up.. help! What should I do?

One thing we haven’t spoken about are your salary expectations. Could you have a think and let me know early next week as well as your employment status (residency permit)."

hello! I’m looking to get some insight to see if I’m being paid fairly for where I’m at in my career. I’ve worked at the same company for 2.5 years. This is my first job out of college. A company has made an offer and I wanted to understand if i'm being made a fool.

The monthly compensation is 1,37,500 (16,50,000 yearly) and Variable component (Bonus) is 1,50,000.

However in the offer it says "You shall be paid an annual compensation of Rs. 16,50,000/- per annum Cost to Company."

Which to me sounds like it doesn't consider 1,50,000 to be a part of CTC which is suspicious to me.

How should I deal with this?

I joined HCL in july 2021 & completed one year in july 2022. Currently I am serving notice period and my last working day is December 7th. I resigned in September month
So when I will get my variable pay of last year as my performance cycle is still not closed.

Question for a friend's son who is an Indian citizen..has just graduated from college in California and looking for opportunities. In the interim how can he apply and get reasonable private medical coverage? Also can he apply for a non driver government ID in Los Angeles ?
