Hey. Recently let go and have been targeting IT audit positions. Was at Deloitte for 2 years, post graduating grad school with a Masters in Information Systems. In the meantime have been studying for CISA. What other skills should I be focusing on to be most competitive?

I'm an investment banker and in late stages of a couple CorpDev roles of Fortune 200 companies. Both roles report to Head of CorpDev. I would be interested to understand the typical career progression. Assuming Head of CorpDev will stay in position for the next 5-10 years, what is the expectation of upward mobility then? Is it more common to progress through jumping around to different companies?

How bad is reneging a week before I start? Have an offer with FAANG but the role is sales. Got a dream job with Disney in Analytics & Strategy with comparable salary. Should I stick with FAANG?

I have a period of time (~2 years) where I worked multiple part time jobs. One job was with a FAANG so that’s easy to put on my resume. But the others included a couple non profits (mainly digital marketing), then multiple contracts with clients doing things like business development, APIs, websites, etc. How can I combine these “side gigs” under a single title/experience? Business Consultant? Say I ran a consulting agency? Business Dev Engineer? I’m lost. I don’t want to embellish or undermine.

When I called HR to change the date she told me to first accept the offer letter and resign from the current company and give me the screenshot of your resignation mail. So I did as she told. Good morning… My internal audit team is saying that ALL changes, even changes related to maintenance must go through the change request approval process and should be in included in ISSO dashboards. Currently all changes are logged via SPLUNK. Is there new guidance that I don’t know about?

I have a splunk question…. When would it be appropriate to use a dashboard instead of the actual logs to validate that all changes are being logged. My client uses dashboards to monitor higher risk changes in real time. It is not intended to “monitor or capture “ all changes. I think this is incompetence on the part of the assessment team
