Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Hi All, need suggestion in choosing new opportunity & role. Currently working as AWS Engineer with 6.5 YOE. Having opportunities: 1. AWS Developer -Deloitte USI - 15fixed + 0-10% Variable + 4LJB (retention bonus) 2. Sr security Analyst - AWS IAM - Sony India software centre - 17.5fixed + 3L Variable. Im very much interested in AWS Developer role but scared of WLB at Deloitte. Sony have a very good reviews and pay also better only concern here it is cloud security and limited to only AWS IAM.

If I was to leave the firm before the break they’d let me go immediately. But if I quit over the break there’s no way they shit can me right then and there do they? I mean I have to transition my clients and wrap up work. I’d like to get paid as much as possible before leaving. This seems like it’s it. Am I a shitty person for doing it like this?
