hey team - am a first year at hbs and am sponsored by non-mbb and my contract does not permit me to intern at competitors. i guess two questions:

1. thoughts on success of recruiting at mbb after returning to my sponsor firm for 2 years to cover cost of mba?

2. if that is unlikely, thoughts on success of recruiting for mbb as a 2nd year for full time role?

Would an MBA be required to switch from Product Management within LS/biotech to Tech (faang or other b2c)?

Do you think Paytm has a reputation internationally? If I plan to pursue masters. Will my experience at Paytm help me?

Hi! So i've been doing "all the things i was supposed too" since i graduated. I have two masters dgs, my admin cert, 15 years teaching, and all that good stuff. The problem is that I don't want to do it anymore. I think of becoming an admin and I cringe. I have a photo business that I have been doing part time for yrs and it's becoming just as lucrative as teaching, with so much less stress. A part of me wants to just quit and do that full-time am I wasting all that education? Thoughts? do it?

I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes.
