Anyone have any good advice for getting students to think/respond on their own? So many times when I ask them to write their own thoughts about something and to explain why they hold that opinion, many students get stuck and/or turn to the Internet. And then I find myself repeating, I’m asking for YOUR thoughts about this, not someone else’s. I teach grades 9 & 11.

My neighbor is a bit creepy/lonely (?). He comes over to chat when I’m outside working on the house or doing yard work and doesn’t catch on too well to social cues. He’ll mention small details about my routine or new changes to the house (just moved in). It’s a bit uncomfortable and I’ve had a few awkward moments with him already. What's the protocol for adding internal portal mockups for a client to your portfolio? Is it expected, something that requires asking permission but is still generally OK, or frowned upon? I'm a developer trying to pivot to UX.
