Cameras and motion activated lights at all entry points!! Get some nice double curtains which block out any views from the outside too

Thanks Amazon1! I have Blink set up and will look into compatible flood lights. Currently have the doorbell (which was directly facing his house already 👍🏼) and indoor cams to peep the dogs when I’m out..gotta set up the outdoor cams next!!
Do you have a partner or are you single? That would make me uncomfortable too. Trust your instincts and I would start setting up cameras where I could
Pro
Yes, please do, OP! Trust your gut! I would absolutely be uncomfortable too. Having random guy friends stop by is a great idea as well.

Always trust your gut! Would it be too hard to avoid him? I would do my best to put distance between yourself and him, however you can.
Pro
Thank you. Will order a flood light to go with my home security system. And I’m going to avoid him whenever possible. Sucks but I’d rather be alert and cautious in this case!

Hey op! I once lived in an apt building with a creepy neighbor. He stole my porch plants and displayed them in his front window so that I would have to talk to him. One time he knocked on my door at like 9 pm to offer me his dinner leftovers bc it was his birthday (?!?!!).
This guy would leave his curtains open so he could watch me leave for work.
This was before smart camera tech so I basically notified the building manager of the behaviors and tried to bring more people around to my apartment.
Trust your gut!

I had a neighbor like this. My spouse and I made a home gym and the neighbors hated the “tremors” (from the barbell) so much they screamed at us and when we wouldn’t stop they stopped talking to us. It was a win win for me.

@senior no- it was a single family home but they were rather close together. We only worked out in the morning or during the day. Neighbor had control issues.

How old is he? I think this kind of behavior is more common in the older generations of just being neighborly and friendly. I just moved into an older neighborhood and neighbors will stop by to introduce themselves or chat when we are outside

When’d you move in? How familiar are you with him?
Pro
Moved in 4 months ago. Not familiar. Just neighbors. He just walks across the street and lingers as I’m moving about. He asked me to join him for his bday dinner in a few weeks. I’m polite but not at the expense of my comfort level.
Need help with this.
My neighbor has 6 cars - yeah right and he’s parking them all around since his garage and drive way isn’t sufficient. I have a good relationship w/ him but this is getting super annoying since he is parking outside my home across the street. My cameras keep going off, plus I don’t want to encourage him using this as a permanent spot. He says this is a public street and he pays ‘taxes’. However, I don’t want to deal with a car outside my property coz sometimes it gets annoying getting in and out - it’s not much, but an adjustment. AITA? What is my defense?

If you want to be petty, check to see if all cars have registration stickers & make a call 😂 maybe then he’ll move some* inside. What an entitled ahole
