Hi comp advice please! my wife is making a pivot into brand management / account exec roles at ad agencies. Glassdoor is kinda helpful for comp estimates but all over the place. For an nyc role (just above entry level, like Brand Manager at BBDO) what’s a reasonable comp range for her to tell HR she’s looking for? Feels like $90-100k? Thanks for your thoughts/examples! Fwiw she has 10 yrs experience in other fields like real estate.

Looking for advice on negotiating a raise. My current company recently "reviewed all salary positions to determine if they were needed to be competitive in the market". Of course they came to the conclusion that none were needed. The issue is that there are very very few positions, similar to what I do, to compare against. I'm highly skeptical as to what they actually compared us against so my question is... Is it worth using similar positions in different industries as a comparison?

Calling all ID Associates: Do you expect a cost of living raise from one year to the next? My mid-size ID firm did not give any associate raises for 2021-2022 and a wave of associates quit in response. I’m anxious 2023 will be no different. What’s the expectation?

I switched to my current role with the verbal agreement that I would be third teir support - there will always be someone else between the customer and me. I recently found out that a new distributor doesn't want to stand up a support desk to do that for at least a year, leaving my team as first point of contact if anything goes wrong with a system.

Work Two Jobs: I’m about to accept an offer from another Bank, could I hypothetically work at my current bank until they realize that I’m simply not working enough/ doing anything and eventually severance me? I would meet 100% of my obligations at my new shop, and just not do anything with my old one.
