I have my first round interview at Google coming up for the Strategy & Operations Lead role and was hoping to hear from anyone who is working at Google or has gone through the process on what to expect for the interview format. I reached out to the recruiter to ask whether the first one would be GCA/hypothetical questions, behavioral, role-related knowledge, leadership or googlyness and they basically said to prepare for all 4. Aren’t each interview set up to focus one mainly one?

Once you’ve applied via referral link to a position, does it keep you in a referral pool or do you need to constantly get a new referral link if you apply to another role say 4 months later? Curious since they only last 30 days and i feel bad asking for a link a 3rd time now…..

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?
