Hi All. Looking for thoughts on vertical expertise and whether it’s just a good sales tool or whether anyone has considered structuring the company in this format because it drives stronger work? I’ve always been fairly anti vertical because I think it stifles ideas and thinking, but you can always have people that specialize that you pull in when having bespoke industry knowledge can help. What do others think? Do clients want this from their partners?

My experience has been that clients say they want it, don't really want it, but do unconciously expect it when the work starts.
Frankly, I think now more than ever it's important that partner teams are focused on what's right for themselves, then find the clients which fit that.

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

What's the inhand salary calculation for below 2 offers(after tax)

1. 34 LPA fixed pay ( both employer and employee PF included) 12% of Basic. Total 3.2 LPA in PF deduction.

Hi! I have been working in marketing and advertising for ~5 years and recently started exploring the freelance side of things. I started conversations with a small boutique studio about doing Facebook ads for them and they asked what my retainer fee would be to manage them. Since I’ve always worked for a company that was hired to do it I am not entirely sure what a freelance rate for that should be? I would love any insight. I’m certified through meta’s platform too if that matters.

I have a pretty narrow niche and have figured out what my ideal client looks like, so I assume that these services will fill my inbox, but with leads that are not quite right. When building a new brand who is the real client? Who has the final say?Who should you really listen to if no one is taking the lead?
