I’ve had interviews and have gotten knocked out of the final round in the past 10+ interviews I’ve had. I’m feeling a bit discouraged, but trying to remain motivated. I’ve worked in the energy, tech, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and consulting industries.
Sounds like you have a really good background. I would just be patient and pray. The job market sucks now. I've applied to over 100 positions and have not gotten any interviews. Each job i apply for says there are well over 100 applicants some several hundred. Maybe take a part time job in retail to pay your bills for awile if you get fired before you find something. Good luck
When you were hired did it have your office address as remote, or was it clearly stated in your offer letter that you are a remote worker? If so, contractually I don’t think they can force you to move.
Thank you so much and you hit the nail on the head!
FIS and Worldpay have open remote roles available. I live here and have been with them since well before the pandemic. Have been 100% remote since then. Not sure if there are currently any remote roles for your areas of experience, but I can look once I get back online. Here's the Careers site: careers.fisglobal.com
Hello. Do you like working for FIS? What are some of your likes and dislikes?
Try Kyndal, Accenture, Capgemini, HP, Exxonmobil, Chevron
The holidays just wrapped, more positions will be posted in the coming months
Thank you so much, I will apply to them!

Are you open to in-person hybrid or in office if in Houston/client sites? Fully remote is hard these days? Do you have consulting / project experience background? Potentially open to some travel during the week to client sites if necessary?
I actually prefer in person / hybrid as long as I can permanently remain in Houston. After my previous role told me I could be remote then changed their mind, I’m a bit scarred by the whole ordeal. I do have project experience and worked in consulting for a little under 2 years! I’m open to travel during the week for client visits if necessary!
You should Google large companies in Houston or something, and check job boards. There are tons of large companies
Baker Hughes
Philips
Technip
Halliburton
Reliant energy
Hundreds more
But thank you!!!! I have been

Check out staffing firms like Robert Half and see how to get in their network. They literally help place independent SME level contractors into organizations for contract roles and even consulting projects at Protiviti. Talent exchange at PWC could be another avenue and you can search roles. If you are willing to be on contract to start, could be less barriers to entry and honestly your background could be $$$
We have some roles open. Wanna DM and we can talk? I can send you a referral link later
TMC1, if you're willing to also DM me, I would be grateful as well! I'm in the same boat as OP, looking for roles to stay local in Houston. I have experience in risk management currently, but can pivot if need be.
