Hi all, wanted to validate something. I used to live in ATL where my company filed my GC. Then I moved to CA with the same employer but did not redo PERM as my priority date was far at that time. Now I’m hopefully within 6mo-1yr from becoming current, so I’m wondering if the original PERM would still be valid if I simply moved back to ATL (again with the same employer)?

I saw a couple thread asking similar questions but want to ask again. (Sorry) I have a valid I-797 till Oct’22 but no H1B visa. Can I travel to Puerto Rico? I understand that I can use driver’s License but what if they ask for my passport and see the expired visa, which was from my F1 status? (Also in panic mode cuz my trip is coming up this week 💀) thank you!!

Does it matter if I don’t meet the specific job requirements when transferring H1B? The job posted requires CPA license but I haven’t got it. The employer is still willing to hire me. I know for PERM process, meeting minimum requirements is important but not sure if H1B have such requirement. I heard that for H1B as long as it’s a position requiring bachelors degree and specifically occupation that should be fine. But kinda worried about this.

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.
