Hi. Any experience in landscaping using indian hawthrones and japanese privets? How invasive are those? I have them in my front yard, which is about 3ft tall. I still have some space in front of them and am thinking about planting roses there. Could I space them out by about 2ft from trunk to trunk? Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated. For context based in TX.

I thought the Japanese Privet was considered an invasive species in the south. I did see a lot of them listed online for sale, so maybe there is a non invasive version of it now.

My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F
