Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I want to build my career in analytics. I have offer from EY India, EXL and LatentView Analytics.
EY is more on the side of project management and process improvement in SaaS, as told. While there is hands-on in other two.

Trying to do that.
Which competency?
Oracle
How are they deciding to PIP? I thought it was not there in PwC.
The higher authority just give you the reason like you are not coping up, less communication or don’t have technical skills or background so it is taking time to learn some technical coding and all.. these are all the thing that i heard and them they put me into PIP.
How much exp do you have?
How much time you were on bench?
1-1/2 years
Only for the initial time of hiring otherwise I am currently in a project for approx. 6 months.
How much yrs of experience you have ? And reason for putting you in PIP?
Were you on bench for so long or what happened?
I am currently in a project and i was not on bench for so long. And its been only 1-1/2 years and i am a fresher.
See, the reason I am getting that is I don’t have a technical background of coding and all and currently i am working on the oracle cloud technical. It is the main thing I heard while i was getting into PIP.
Anyways, I don’t buy this reason.
What is expected out of pip that they imposed?
So they have given me a task to complete and they will judge me according to it.
But any how, i am seeing that eventhough I am completing the task they are not happy and giving some other reasons.
Eventually, it feels like they are resisting to continue in this company.
If you don't have technical skills try to learn it if you are interested in this field else try to find another job in this time. Because they may fire you if your performance is bad in Pip . I have heard PWC is firing people in bench maybe they are doing this due to recession and try to reduce people they don't require. So try to find job and at the same time complete the work.
Thinks which you can improve is your communication and ask questions and do it
All the best
How do they judge us whether we have technical background/ skills or not?
