I cleared the technical rounds and HR discussion on the same day, and HR mentioned the offer would be released soon, but I haven’t received any update yet.

Biz owners/entrepreneurs: Any tips on how to answer questions where the interviewer would want to know why I’d want to work for a company if I have my own. I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

I'm 4 years into my career, currently I work at one of the largest public advisory firms writing research and taking advisory calls with CIOs/CFOs on strategy around IT Cost Optimization, IT/technology finance, benchmarking, budgeting etc. I enjoy the role but fear not being able to do much with this experience.
