I was affected by layoffs about a month ago and urgently looking for a good immigration lawyer. The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. Looking for advice about what types of creative (but still corporate) non-legal roles would be easiest to pivot into. I’m an entertainment/IP/privacy lawyer but have only been practicing for 1.5 years. I already know the law isn’t for me though and am trying to brainstorm what other career paths may be a good fit. Currently on H1B visa.

He wants to move from USDC to Deloitte Core due to location preference and family reasons. Since USDC is only at three locations. Core has wider range of location options.

I have my I-140 approved through Deloitte with PD of 2017. If I change my job, do I need to repeat the perm process for H1b extension?? I know, I can use Deloitte’s
I-140 for changing the employer, but what about subsequent h1b extensions once I’m on payroll with the new employer? Tl;dr can I use my previous employer’s I-140 to keep filing h1b extension?
