Have you been looking into temp to perm positions? Sometimes you have a better chance of showing them your experience and proficiencies in those positions
I guess it largely depends what country you are in. I'm in the U.S. and was laid off in November from an admin position in tech. I've actually landed interviews weekly since being laid off. I just haven't found a good fit, yet. One thing I've noticed is quite a few people refuse to work in office. Because of this, I am receiving more interviews. I don't care because I didn't get to work from home during the pandemic as I worked in the courts. Some areas to look that a lot of people don't are the local universities, your town, city, county/parish, state, federal job sites. The charter schools and public schools and also look at the DES site in your state. They should have a listing of open jobs.
Where are you looking? And what kind of prior experience do you have?? A lot of people are having a hard time finding roles until they get a referral from someone (in my experience lately)
I am in the same boat, have been looking for a while now. Atlis agency has been extremely helpful. Try both permanent and contract. Also check company websites directly.
I’m in the same boat of endless appreciations and countless interviews that lead to nowhere just a general email stating they went with someone else. Help me if anyone know who’s is hiring in the dfw area
I'm in the same boat as you. I've been in Administration for 30 years. I took 3 years off to care for my elderly father in Texas. My home is California. He was blind, had three toes removed due to diabetes and had a bad heart. He was physically abused at two different assisted living facilities. When I found out, I immediately quit my job and flew to Texas to care for my dad, myself. Now, I've been looking for work and am striking out everywhere. We have to keep looking ahead!! Good luck!!
