Hi everyone. I just graduated with my undergrad degree in Forensic accounting in May and will be finishing my Masters of Fraud & Forensics in December. I had 2 internships during school and have just recently started as a Forensic Staff Accountant at MDD. I looking to get more into Fraud & Forensics. MDD does mostly business interruption and it’s kinda boring and not what I went to school for. I’m also currently in the 90 day challenge to pass the CFE exam. Does anyone have any advice?

Personally, my experience was not good at MDD, but after a year there I was able to get to EY. It’s a good springboard for other opportunities. Plus the business interruption stuff can apply to economic damage quantifications across different areas in disputes work. Keep working and search for other opportunities at different firms. It’s worth the experience. Fraud in general is more niche from what I’ve found, used to do fraud investigations, in public/industry vs going to a gov position
