They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k

The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.

I could use some guidance on how to transition out of firm life into a government role. Prior to law: four years working for a state and a city, and four years before that worked at a consulting agency strictly serving government agencies and cities/counties. You’d think this would parlay well into the government roles I am applying for, but so far no dice. I’m entering my fourth year practicing as a lawyer.
