What’s day-to-day life like in FDD/valuation, and how is AI affecting the role?

I’m CA-Inter, have a B.Com, and I’m doing an online MBA — would firms consider someone with my background, and how should I make the transition?

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

According to an article in LinkedIn new job postings are down for the first time in 9 months but still there over 10 million open jobs with only 5.9 million unemployed workers. My company recently changed my commission plan by capping half of our variable payout, resulting in the sales reps making roughly 30% less on commission checks when going over quota. I took an in-house gig working with friends late last summer and I am about to get an offer from a biglaw firm for basically my dream position—I am feeling terrible because my current department is understaffed and I like the work, but the biglaw position has huge advantages including remote work and way higher salary.
