Hi everyone, I’m currently looking to start a career in an office-based role, ideally as an admin assistant or receptionist.

I’m highly organised, reliable, and enjoy helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. I’m eager to learn, build my skills, and grow within a professional environment but I’ve been finding it challenging to get my foot in the door.

If anyone has advice, opportunities, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

Hello! 90% of jobs aren’t posted. This means you’ll have to be very proactive in your job search. It’ll be hard but not impossible. I would print out your resume, have Chat GPT revise it first/suggest edits.

Then I would take your resume to literally every single dental office, orthodontist office, old age home, and anywhere you can think of. Just drive around in your car. Write down where you drop it off at, and give them a call a few days later to make sure they received it and to answer any questions they might have. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
