Hi everyone, I’m currently working at PwC in the Assurance department as a Senior Analyst and have been with the firm for the past 1 year. In total, I have 4 years of experience in consulting.

I now have two offers on the table, both offering the same package:

EY GDS – Staff 3 position in Assurance
JLL – Business Analyst position.
I’m torn between continuing in assurance at EY GDS or pivoting to a business analyst role with JLL. Which one should i choose?

Howany competency parameters needs to be at next level to become consultant?? Is there any other criteria?

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. I have been told my work product is good, I don't turn anything down, I participate in non-billable work, I'm responsive and I always let people know I'm available to help. Is your firm treating 12/26 and 12/27 as firm holiday since the 24th and the 25th are during the weekend this year? Of course client demands would dictate whether people will be working, but curious what the official policy is. For what it’s worth, my firm treated the day after thanksgiving as holiday and I didn’t have to work for the whole day.
