But somehow I get schedule cancellation e-mail on or before Tuesday & the process continues from last 1.5 months

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. I feel so many of my big law co-workers purchase homes $1M+ homes as senior associates but I always struggle to believe that I will be able to do the same. I started saving aggressively this year as a midlevel but still feel so far away to be able to comfortably afford.
