My friend got offers from Rockwell automation, inc and Capgemini.
The offer iis 17 LPA fixed from CapG and 17.5 Fixed + 2.5 Variable from Rockwell.
He wants to work as consultant and CapG is giving him that and Rockwell is giving him Developer designation.
His yoe is 4.5y. He is confused about where he should join.
PS He is in IOT and isn't in fishbowl yet. He will be soon, but in the meanwhile, it will be nice if anyone can clear the confusion or recommend something.

It would take a minimum of two years, likely 3. 1 year for each promotion and the post on searching the intranet for "promotions" was spot on.
They don't really promote. You can apply for a higher position. Remember though, Chase's policy is that you shouldn't be seeking a higher position because of money, but because you WANT that position. A higher grade, does not necessarily mean an increase in salary. As a 601 I was making the same or more than my last two managers who were 602 & 603.

What can I give as expected CTC in JPMC during HR discussion?
I saw that 502 is for Tier 1 and Tier 2 college freshers. I am from Tier 3 college with 3 y.o.e in IT. Is it right to be at 502 grade? Is 502 means lesser responsibilities than 601 or 602? And when can I expect to be 601, given I already have 3 years of experience.
