Hi everyone, I’m Lorena. I was diagnosed with cancer in December and I’m still in treatment, though thankfully in remission. I’m starting to feel ready to look for work again, ideally something remote.

My previous employer replaced me after my diagnosis and never paid my last month’s wage. I’m letting that chapter go so I can focus on my health and moving forward.

If anyone has suggestions for remote roles or where to start, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you for having me.

YOE - 6 in Android development. I got an offer from MakeMyTrip Bengaluru 22L fixed + 2L joining bonus. I'm from hyderabad. MMT has hybrid work model and wants me to relocate so that I could appear in office twice in a week. They denied full remote opportunity. Given that some companies are providing full remote opportunities, is it still worth it to relocate for a job/career? I live in a rented flat in hyderabad which I need to vacate and find a new place in a new city bengaluru.

Received an offer from IQVIA and base location is bangalore.The offer came with relocation expenses which the company will provide.I do not wish to relocate at the moment and would want to wfh for now.

Is there a possibility of working from home out of your base location ? Have the employees started going back to office ? A little confused here, please clarify.

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.
