I replied and even asked the reason for this question. He laughed and replied that , women join the team , they get married , become pregnant and then they go for sabbatical or maternity leave . To which I replied , that it's okay and it's a part of our life and it's on us as team how we should manage a team when such kind of situations arrive .
He didn't question anything as such on my skills and he ended the session very quickly.
I didn't expect such a thing coming from an organisation like Barclays. The interviewer seemed so biased and also wasted time by not questioning on my skills . Why do they conduct interviews for girls/women in the first place if they are not interested to hire and just waste time by questioning such absurd things .
I wanted to provide this as a feedback to the recruiter as I had such a horrible experience. But the recruiter also didn't mind to revert post the interview process . It's been over a month already.
Just sharing this as an experience.
for which profile you gave the interview ?

I would suggest just raise same concern over LinkedIn tagging Barclays .
Later they can take it offline with you .
Firstly it’s definitely not a good experience and really sorry for it. As a human being we have failed . But I have been with Barclays and it’s very rare case I have heard so far.
But not speaking up would be a bigger mistake , so take it forward where ever possible on social media platform.

Very unfortunate and unethical .
All I wanted to say is speak up on such incidents, so we do not face such incidents in future.
It’s totally unacceptable let me be straight forward, but it’s selective set of employees I would say. Hence raise your voice to reduce such incidents.
Tag him in linkedin
Tag the person/ just name and tag barclays on LinkedIn . Atleast they should know that this is unethical
Could have done that but I don't want to defame them. I will tag Barclays and share this concern over LinkedIn or Glassdoor , so that they will take care of this. Thanks for the suggestion.
I too feel repented for joining barclays. Initially I felt I'm outsider always. Everyone in my team is male except me. My manager attitude is also same. He always says I'm not able to put 100% because of my baby.l even if I do small mistake.i see same mistakes being performed by experienced in my team. Always I'm targeted for very small reasons
Well, name him on LI.
Can verify well reach out to him and ask to call you n apologize
