Should I continue to live at my parents house in the Midwest as things start to open back up or move back to my assigned office city on the east coast? I’m only 25, no student loans, and kind of want to live the city life and make some friends, but I’m hesitant because this high savings rate is really nice and my project at work would be remote even without covid, so I don’t HAVE to move out anytime soon

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? Pre bonus and equity I earn 110k/yr in Wash DC.
I’ve seen 33% net income, but honestly $1650/mo CANT even get a 500sqft condo on rent.

Others say I can afford 600k houses but that seems irresponsible and ridiculous.
